The failure of pumps or compressors in the production can lead to considerable damage and production delays. Therefore, such aggregates are increasingly monitored continuously. A particularly economical solution to this problem is the vibration monitor SYN-CW219, which, together with a low-cost industrial ICP® vibration sensor, detects changes early, signals danger and notifies the higher-level system control. From the measured vibration signal, the RMS value of the vibration acceleration is determined according to ISO 10816-3 or the vibration velocity. At the same time, the SYN-CW219 detects the peak value of accelerations above an adjustable frequency and makes this signal as well as the RMS value available as a 4 ... 20 mA signal.
