Calibration equipment

Calibration equipment

Hand calibrators allow on-site rapid function testing of the accelerometer and the subsequent measuring chain. The reference signal is a sine wave excitation at a frequency of 159 Hz at 1 g, optionally RMS or peak. For typical accelerometers the PCB-394C06 model is the right choice, for seismic or industrial transducers weighing up to 250 grams, the PCB-699A02 is available.
A complete on-site calibration of accelerometers is provided by the portable, battery-powered TMS-9110D calibration system. It checks the frequency response of the sensors in the range of 7 Hz to 10 kHz and generates traceable calibration certificates. The TMS-9100D model is available as a low-priced alternative with reduced functionality.
